L'unica nuova uscita per la Golden Week appena passata, la riedizione dell'apprezzato Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, non poteva che prendersi la prima posizione nella classifica dei videogiochi più venduti in Giappone di questo inizio maggio, con 88,421 copie vendute. L'impressione è che Kirby: Star Allies rimarrà il gioco Switch più venduto del 2018 almeno fino all'autunno. Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 2018 rimane saldo al 2° posto, mentre al 3° risale il Kit 01 di Nintendo Labo, accolto invece abbastanza tiepidamente in altre parti del mondo.
Sul fronte hardware Nintendo Switch risale e si porta sulle cinquantamila unità, rimane invece stabile PS4.
