Questa in Giappone è stata la settimana di Nier: Automata che fa registrare un ottimo debutto, il migliore della storia dei Platinum Games dopo quello di Metal Gear Rising e che in questo inizio 2017 batte persino quello di Resident Evil VII. In attesa dell'uscita occidentale del 10 marzo, Square Enix può dirsi soddisfatta dato che Nier: Replicant, nel 2010, fece appena 60,000. L'altra uscita forte è Super Robot Wars V e come preventivato tiene molto bene anche Nioh.
Tra una settimana le prime posizioni della classifica software saranno interamente occupate dai titoli di lancio di Switch, con Zelda in testa. L'unico a contrapporsi all'ondata Nintendo sarà il colossal di Sony Horizon: Zero Dawn.


La settimana che precede il lancio della nuova console Nintendo vede la PS4 aumentare notevolmente il suo venduto grazie alle uscite di Nier: Automata e Super Robot Wars V.
